Lord chancellor 1830- 34 and British author.
He was a co-founder of the "Scotland review" and wrote also articles for it.
Also he was one of the founders of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful
Knowledge and of the University of London.
He entered politics in 1808. He was against the slave trade and proposed
educational reforms.

Condition is good/very good with a few tiny spots. Original medium brown tinted
and not greenish as scan shows. Mount slightly trimmed.
