Vintage albumen titled "Ancient market gate, Athens." by Bonfils.
Altough this photograph is not signed/numbered I have seen an identical -but
1890's- print signed Bonfils.

Mounted albumen with title in ink below image.
Ca 1873.

Sizes ca 8 3/8 x 10,5 (photo) and 12,5 x 15,5 inches (mount).

Condition is very good condition with an area at left edge without emulsion
(just above the tree and from time of development) and small ironed out
folds at right upper corner.
Original is sharp and a bit darker brown/grey toned.
