The Durga or Monkey temple of Benares (Varanasi). Titled in ink on the mount below the photograph "Der Affentempel in Benares". Vintage albumen photograph by unknown photographer from ca 1880's. Mounted on album page and sized ca. 10,5 x 8 inches / 268 x 201 mm. Condition is very good - with a little minor spot. Original is sharp a bit darker and more grey-purple toned (scan shows too brown). Price € 125 |
