Samuel Bourne - Ruïnes of the residency in Lucknow. Some local craftsmen are working on what seems to be a restoration project. Unmounted albumen from the 1870's. In the negative at right lower corner signed and numbered "Bourne 1028". Titled in pencil at the reverse "Lucknow the residency". Sizes ca 11,5 x 8 7/8 inches. Condition is very good with a few very faint stains at left upper part; some little discolouring at edges (less serious then scan shows) and minor surface wear. Thin remains of paper at reverse. Original is sharp and a bit darker brown toned. Price € 375 |
