The Society Minerva is a society of students of the university of Leiden.
Above two photographs of the interior of the club house with billiard and
reading table.

Both titled in pencil below photographs "Societeit Minerva".

Vintage albumen photographs by unknown photographer (probably by
Goedeljee, Leiden) from ca 1870.
Each mounted separately on original cardboard and sized ca. 8,5 x 6,5 inches /
210 x 165 mm.

Conditions are fair/good - with some (period) retouched areas; two small tears
at bottom of lower photo and some discolouring at edges.
Original of upper photo is a bit darker brown toned (scan shows a bit too
greenish) and original of lower photo is more overall green/brown toned (as
in the center).
Mounts with spots.
